Paper Abstract:      This article describes a conceptual model and a global architecture for a context-aware annotation based-memory. This memory aims to help the teacher to create and manage semantic annotations on his pedagogical documents, during the teaching process. This digital annotation-based memory is context-aware in order to offer the teacher an improved usability and to minimize his annotation efforts (effortless). The annotation conceptual model is composed of three parts (facets): cognitive, semantic and context. In order to facilitate the integration of the annotation tool with other teaching tools, the memory architecture is based on several web-services which communicate using XML messages.
